Howlin' at the Moon in ii-V-I videos are coming to Substack

All of the "Howlin" content in one place.

Over the next few days I’m transferring a selection of Howlin’ at the Moon in ii-V-I videos from YouTube and Facebook to Substack. This is a brand new, beta-test feature of Substack for which I volunteered to be a crash test dummy.

Since spring 2020 I’ve posted video “rants” to accompany my weekly columns. I won’t transfer all of them over (because it would take forever), but from now on each column here will be accompanied by a free video. None of the videos will reside behind the paywall.

Howlin’ videos have been well-received on Facebook and YouTube - much to my amazement. Why anyone would want to waste 20 minutes a week with a knucklehead like me is quite beyond my comprehension - and probably many of yours as well. Yet it’s true. The world is truly a marvelous place.

I occasionally have guests on these videos and plan to expand that tradition. It’s a bunch of fun making the videos. They are all live-in-the-studio, completely unedited. It’s true stream of consciousness - with all of the gaffs, mispronunciations and other glories that accompany live and off-the-cuff broadcasts.

So please join me in taking swings at the cultural left and the right, talking music and adventure with you and various guests with the new Substack video feature.
