You comment on the LA Times' implosion: "As much as I may take some temporary delight in watching ... a shrinking press isn’t good for the country." But Martin, the press doesn't look to me like it is shrinking. It looks like it is being transformed, organically reborn. You are but one example.
We can have a vital, effective press without the old, woke, incompetent MSM. They are being replaced by the likes of The Free Press, Public, Racket News, Rogan, and Hackworth.
As for the LA Times, I shed far less sympathy for their woke owners and staff than you do for King whatshisname.
The members of the press, with few exceptions, all long to ascend to elite status so they have succumbed to the Hive Mind that Angelo Codevilla described so succinctly in his article on America’s Ruling Class in the Spectator.
Now that folks, is a rant!
Martin, I love it when you get fired up and just lay it out there.
I have a feeling that the public is starting to wake up to the falsehoods ALL of the MSM spreads. Rants like these help open eyes.
Folks if You want truth, here it is.

I wish that we had their resources. It may happen, but it hasn't happened yet.
