Bullshit has reigned and rained - for the last 4 years in a deluge, but much longer if you count the sprinkles that ultimately became a thunderstorm before Joe Cut-out became POTUS. At long last the storm appears to be abating - but given the degree to which it has permeated our institutions over many years (education, media, entertainment, etc.) and as welcome as the incoming Trump administration is - it will take much more than that to return to a normalcy that doesn't rely on bullshit to drive society. I'm with you all the way on your sentiments Martin, and will join you in the breathing exercise you have planned for 11:59a Eastern time on Monday!

Amen, mi amigo. Amen. Additionally, Trump comes with his own brand of bullshit (see Panama). But anything is better than the past four years

I love it when I read someone whose thoughts capture my own.

Since Trump won the latest election I have been feeling much more optimistic, calm, and curious about the future, than I have for many years. I have no illusions about President Trump, so he isn't the cause of my surge of hope. I realized within the past week that I feel this way because I saw a majority of the American people standing up to the bullies and firing them. After seeing so many people hand over their sense of reality to be a part of an authoritarian cult, people who then gaslighted the rest of us to make us crazy too, it is such a profound relief that the majority of Americans are not caving to it. As long as that remains true, we will be able to take our country back.

What is obvious is how perfect a President Joe Biden is, for the insane left. It is not reasonable to blame a bumbling old man for his Executive Leadership's numerous unlawful and destructive actions and yet his official position shields the true lawbreakers in control of the Whitehouse. I tremble at the thought of his office's executive actions in the next two days..

We still don't know who is actually functioning as president right now, do we?

I was just having this convo with someone else. We do not. I suspect his close advisors.

This is a strange experience that I never expected to have in this country in my lifetime. As you wrote so well, I can't wait for Monday. Just to have a president will be a relief.

Agreed. The actions of his administration never seemed to be the product of an ancient Boomer D.C swamp rat. It smelled much more like the mental excretions of over-educated, ivy-league fools.
